Pastors James and Cindy Long

James and Cindy are the founding pastors of Gateway. They have been married for over 30 years and have 5 children, John, Adam, Mary, Bethany, and Stephen. They serve together in leadership with Pastor James as Senior Pastor and Pastor Cindy as Executive Pastor. Their gifts and talents complement each other as they serve God, their family, and Gateway. They are passionate about empowering ordinary people like themselves to do extraordinary things for God.

Pastor Lola Lockett

Pastor Lola has been in ministry for over 30 years and has served at Gateway for 14 years. Pastor Lola is currently finishing her doctorate degree from Prairie View A & M. She is the mother of two, Gideon and Joyshayla. Pastor Lola oversees the Women’s Ministry and Prayer Ministry of the church. She firmly believes it is God’s plan for every believer to walk in wholeness, experiencing the power of God on a daily basis.

Joey Garza

Joey has been in ministry for over 20 years and has served as Gateway’s worship leader for the last 11 years. Joey is a two time Dove Award winner as Christian composer for the year. Joey has been married to his wife Karen for 26 years and they have three daughters, Penny, Jennifer, and Esther. Joey is a man who humbly leads our congregation into intimate worship of our Father.

John Long

John has served as Gateway’s student pastor for the past 3 years. John has been married to his wife, Lindsay for 6 years. John challenges our students to tenaously pursue their relationship with Christ while allowing God’s love to flow through them to their peers. John also serves as associate worship leader and has a gift for developing student worship teams and leaders.

Pastors Marty and Harlene Oeschler

Marty and Harlene have been members of Gateway for 6 years and have recently joined our staff as children’s pastors. They have been in ministry for over 17 years and have served in two other churches. Marty is a graduate of Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, OK. They have been married for 20 years and have two daughters, Aimee and Alissa. They are dedicated to partnering with parents to raise their children to love and honor God.

Dawn Stahman

Dawn and her husband Matt have been members of Gateway for 8 years. Married for 12 years, they have two children, Mark and Hannah. Dawn serves as our administrative assistant. She is a team player who avails herself to do whatever is necessary to get the job done. Dawn takes an active role in our student ministry as John’s assistant organizing, planning, and participating in every area.

Dianna Sholars

Dianna serves as our church secretary. Dianna has been at Gateway for 12 years. She and her husband, Mike celebrate 35 years of marriage and have 3 children, Sherman, Kimberly, and Morgan. Dianna affectionately known as Queen Di leads our women’s ministry. She loves people and wants to see them walk in victory in every area of their lives.
